SUPER IMPORTANT POETRY
as they rose beyond the hills
their banners held high with no frills
ready for war tasting the blood
prepared to slay enemies in the mud
the once young, now hardened
man in the tower became enlightened
without anger or hunger
compared to many, slightly younger
fond of books over swords
looked at the hills and the lords
as if waiting for demise and loss
fearing the worst he held his cross
in his hands scarred from wars
used to killing men and boars
if this many have risen he thought
it is perhaps a war best not fought
weapons down ready to surrender
but upon hearing her words most tender
ill run with the children, take them to safety
ill always be with you if you keep this daisy
and so she fled the doomed tower
praying its lord would regain his power
it appeared as her prayers gotten through
the lord was ready to stop the coup
grabbed his sword, his men followed suit
so did his ward, kid nicknamed boot
as the tower men rose to their final stand
the bannermen's numbers grew to no end
they assaulted the tower forcing the gates
thats when the towermen lost their first mates
ready to fight the banners charged in
the tower was not what it had once been
in those doomed halls dozens were slaughtered
it seemed after all the prayers were not heard
but still the last few strongly held
the last door opened, the lord yelled
"NEVER SURRENDER" and they charged their foes
all they managed was to slice some toes
still they had all fought bravely
lasted enough time to be remembered vaguely
the tower between hills may had fallen
after the men in it had went all in
but their efforts were not in vain
has thousands of bannermen had also been slain
as they rose beyond the hills
their banners held high with no frills
ready for war tasting the blood
prepared to slay enemies in the mud
the once young, now hardened
