fuck off i do what i want
but i see my opponent wasnt memebaiting me hes legit trynna get a discussion while im just here to call kiddies stupid
also, im pretty sure the colapsing of probability i.e. the wave function is pure chance
anyway chill out, all of you take me too seriously and all i want to do is piss everyone off by repeatedly calling them stupid
id rather believe its all by chance than someone made it that way. i find any sort of fable trying to explain the universe being created by someone existing before with power to create literally everything and being able to finetune it perfectly incredibly preposterous
being on phone really sucks i cant see your answer fully while trying to reply
i dont reject it because im a science man, i reject it because i find it all incredibly stupid
science wont be able to explain everything, but i refuse to accept works of fiction taken too seriously by far too many people across history as truth to what science wont be able to explain
my answer is "it just happened" and "we don't know" because it's true, it's not me trying to avoid it. we truly have no way of knowing what was there. you want to invent some story about how there was an all powerful being before the universe, go ahead, but i'm not gonna buy it.
those laws have structure and order because they are the structure and order. they don't have those qualities, they ARE those qualities.
these laws frame our reality. you keep calling them laws which will induce some erroneous thoughts. they aren't laws. it's like saying a blank canvas is a law. in a way, it is, it will determine how much you can paint. but that's about it. you can do whatever you want, it's your canvas.
these "laws" aren't perfect, you believe they are perfect because they've always been this way, and always will be.
maybe they don't even do that, maybe they change through time, but we live on such a small scale of it (time that is) that we can't tell they change. we assume they are ever constant, because we see them as ever constant it our small, tiny ammount of time. they could change, who says they can't? our predictions of the past based on them not changing? because we see some distant star that seems to be following the same rules as us? what if it's just our perspective?
these "laws" are perfect in one way, we deduced them by looking everywhere, and guess what, they are indeed everywhere. and i really dont see the perfection in this, it's just how we found them. by looking everywhere. and we keep trying to describe what we see based on what we saw. that's what we understand, so we have to put the things in terms we understand too.
and i'm not saying religion is all wrong, i'm saying we will never be able to tell if any of it exists or not, and i'd rather not believe it. i've never bought into religion, when i was a kid, my grandmother tried her best, all i ever said was "that sounds quite stupid" or "that doesn't really make sense" (true story i was seven years old)
you keep mistaking me saying stuff as trying to indoctrinate you, it's really just my point of view. you believe whatever the fuck you want. this is how i see the world, and how i'll always see it. if you want to join me, be my guest, i will try to argue for my side, but if you don't go on ahead, be free, this is indeed a free world (or so we think). this is how i see reality.
also XD GREAT JOB GREAT BAIT USING SHITTY LINKS THAT AREN'T REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT BUT YOULL INCLUDE THEM ANYWAY COZ BAIT XD HERE HAVE THESE
LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE THESE ARE THE BEST
the only rhetoric i use is in the rhetorical questions, you litter them throughout your post, by calling me stupid for falling for a link you purposely set up, which made me think that if you added it to the discussion, it mattered because if it didn't matter, what the fuck is it doing there?, and by insisting that physics has some spirituality to it. it doesn't matter if there is this spirituality, it's not what science is about. it's about prediciting what happens when you do something. the predictions will be CLOSE to reality, because reality is orders of magnitude more complex than what we know.
you like to believe that all these "perfections" are indeed "perfections" and not happy accidents of the universe. i like to believe they are indeed these accidents, and i like that much better. it makes me think that life is incredibly unlikely, and i can't just waste my life. the fact that these things are "perfect" and someone made it that way just makes me think i'm messing up someone's art, and we should all just die and stop destroying this earth. someone made this to be perfect, why are we ruining it? it's not fair to them. they probably killed themselves because of what we're doing to it. god is dead. we killed him.
what is so perfect about the earth rotating every 24h? it could rotate every 21+pi hours. you get that the 24h is how WE devided the time it takes for it to rotate? it's just something we made up to understand how it works.
what is so perfect about gravity "remaining steady never random"? and what do you even mean by this? that like every other thing science found, it "obeys" some mathematical formula and concept? (mathematical formula and concept that were created for the sole purpose of describing it) are you asking why it depends on mass? i still dont get what you're trying to get at here. if gravity were to work randomly, it wouldn't depend on the masses of the objects interacting and the distance from eachother, that means it wouldn't be gravity, it'd be some cosmic weirdness.
what's so perfect about combining two elements and getting the "same" thing every time? (it will never be exactly the same, it probably won't have the same energy, maybe one time an extra photon was released, but the number of protons, and neutrons, and electrons should remain the same, yes.)
what's so perfect about thermodynamics? the only thing i could see as perfection, is that energy can't be destroyed or created. meaning there is indeed some perfect constant energy throughout the universe. but that's not what you talk about, is it? the one thing that is pretty much the basis for everything, the one thing that can indeed never change, and be perfect, you don't even acknowledge it.
all these perfect things come from how different forms of energy interact with one another, that's thermodynamics.
so no, i dont believe in any god or supernatural being, and refuse and always will refuse to believe it exists.
it's unnecessary. like this conversation, but i like procrastinating.
i thought you'd be more intelectually honest to stop trying to infuse your personal beliefs and spirituality in this discussion, and not include a link you don't even believe it, but i was mistaken
and i also thought you to be taking this too seriously, and why i'm taking this more seriously in this last huge reply as well
