Although god mode/builder mode prevents a player from destroying that specific block(s). It however does not fully protect your structure. The other day I saw someone get around this. And It's pretty obvious how. They just dig up under the structure(the terrain) until the god blocks aren't touching anywhere, making your structure collapse. Now to avoid this I suggest flattening a location to the very bottom of the map.(If you are a normal player. Either ask me or someone else. I'll be happy to clear a location for you.) And building up. This will make your structure UN grief able to all non Builders, guards, admins. Another suggestion, I recommend not building in the middle of the map or near the spawn. Instead try an outer location such as the corners. Or somewhere, around the edge.

This is good info. Just one thing: I don't think you can paint the very bottom layer. You would have to use /sculpt to destroy the floor and build it back using /sculpt with a different color.

Hmm, I think I changed it the other day. I'm not exactly sure. It may be possible. Most people will build 1 block up from the floor so that they can choose the color. But If it is possible to paint the very bottom layer then I suggest doing that. Either way both are safe. as long as no one can dig up under the structure. If it's griefed at that point you know it's someone abusing commands. Sorry for all the typos in the previous post.

Sorry, if I'm writing in wrong branch but...
I don't understand what's going on. Some players got to use votekick to throw from game not only griefers but a fair players.
If someone likes your building or want to make meanness he simply starts a votekick against you. For example i was thrown from game for 2 times in 2 days by not honest players.
It is interesting how many votes you need to be thrown from game? How can i protect myself against such actions?
Thanks.

Well El rhino there's a couple different ways. One I suggest building somewhere out of view so they don't see you often. Another would to be to log onto IRC which is a chat located on BnS Type in /join #N-S3 and ask for help. If that doesn't work try getting on here. I didn't see a help section for these general things. So I suggest pm someone. Scoper real man anyone guard or higher.

That way we won't be able to make tunnels and stuff, which is something I really don't like. You could try making a square platform and then build your house or whatever on it. But yes I have noticed that stuff can still be griefed and I told Scoper once to make the map flat, but some people likes building on mountains and stuff. I don't know what would be a fix to this problem but I will be looking into it.
El Rhino, we will make Trusted Member applies soon. A trusted member cannot be votekicked. Feel free to apply when I finish making it.

Will builder's and higher automatically be trusted, as well? we can clear my sections to the bottom maybe a 5x5 on the grid that's flat. Mountains can be fun. I've seen homes inside of mountains. I have like 6 locations cleared to the bottom that can be cleared for others.

Nope, you need to apply for trusted as builder or normal player.

Ah well lets hope I get Guard so I don't have to spam another application lol.
Hmm. If I had time I could make a platform above the normal scape clear across the map. Idk if the server will be able to handle that kind of modification without crashing. I'd also need to know how high to do this. And what color.

Don't do bigger platforms than like 2x2 or 3x3. Big one may crash or lag the server. But you can use like 1x64 but not 2x64.

A solution would be making half the map protected, which only builders and higher can build in it. And if a Builder griefed something in that protected area, the griefed thing will be rolled back and the builder shall be stripped.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

sounds good. But half the map is alot. I was thinking a 6x6 area in a corner. Maybe leveled off. Protected. And if there's a way only people logged in as builder+ can build there.

Not really sure about the builder+ thing. All I know is that Builders can build and destroy in Protected areas.

That's good then. It'll give the builders and up a chance to not be griefed.
